soft pink sofa with velvet green cushion from citta design

It’s been a crazy week here at TLC headquarters.

I’ve been styling and shooting, filming video, blogging like a boss, and fitting in some interior decorating enquiries as well. It’s all sending me a bit batty, truth be told. So I’m really glad to pause for a moment to share some of my fave design and decor discoveries of the week.

I love this time of year when all the big brands launch their winter ranges. As a huge fan of the cold weather, I love all the new bedding and cushions and candles that land around this time of the year. They’re all perfect for winter snuggles with a glass of wine.

So let’s dive right into the week’s best design and decor drops. And remember; I’d love for you to share your fave finds from the past 7 days in the comments below.

light pink and green bedding by citta design against vertical timber panel bedroom wall

New from Citta Design

When I lived in Sydney, Citta Design was one of my fave places to go hunt around in. Each season the team are inspired by an international destination and pull ideas and inspiration from it for their products. The pieces in the new collection are inspired by Bolivia and the colour palette is truly something.

navy blue and white nursery ideas from pottery barn kids

Pottery Barn Kids Furniture

I don’t think many brands do simplicity in kids furniture the way Pottery Barn does. I absolutely love the Kendall dresser and change table combo above; it’s making me seriously clucky. Also, what a genius idea to run a strip along the wall and have soft grey paint above and blue paint below. It has my full seal of approval.

Doggy Tote Bags

Now, just because I’m a bit of a crazy cat man, it doesn’t mean I don’t adore a puppy. I already know I want a dog of my own one day, but sadly my two cats would not have a bar of it. So I know I have to wait until they go before I get one. In the meantime, I can dream about buying cute bags like this one from Cloud 7.

inoko marble and timber candle vessels with diffusers

Inoko Candles

Inoko is a gorgeous little Sydney-based business that produces the divine candles you see above. The vessels are made from marble, timber and concrete. And the best thing about them is that you can reuse the container once all the wax melts. Marble will never go outta style if you ask me, so I’m 100% smitten with those ones in particular.

Art Prints by My little perfect black alphabet art

Perfect Kids Prints

I love prints with a sense of whimsy and fun, and the ones above from My Little Perfect tick all the boxes. Artist Maggie Vaiopoulos is the clever creative behind this brand, and in each piece she merges her skills in print making and painting. The results speak for themselves, don’t you think? It’s all so happy and bright!

Wall Art you can Win

I’m running a competition on the blog this week with the amazing local brand Yellow Ark. I love their range of eerie, fun and inspirational prints. There’s a huge variety on offer in this online store, and you can win your choice of three prints from this amazing biz by visiting this post. Good luck 🙂

Wood-Effect Wallpaper

So not all of us can afford wood panelling on our walls, right? But what you probably can afford is wallpaper that gives you a similar vibe for a fraction of the cost. I love the organic nature this wood effect wallpaper brings to a space. It’s from Murals Wallpaper and you can find out more about it here.

What design and decor discoveries have you encountered this week? I’d love for you to share your finds in the comments below.

Outside of his work as Editor of The Life Creative blog, Chris is also an interior stylist, presenter and author. His first book, Sydney Precincts, is out now. If you'd like to book a design consult with Chris, you can find out more here

    • haha Anna I wish I knew who The Moody Blues were, but at least it is my favourite colour palette. So that is something, right? 😉 Thanks for your lovely comment. I too am obsessed with the art on that mantle. Abstract art always gets my heart racing!
